The Masonic Fishing Charity, known affectionately as “MTSFC”, provides therapeutic fishing experiences for people with special needs, including children and adults with disabilities, learning difficulties, or mental health challenges. Through their events, participants are given the opportunity to experience the joys of angling, companionship, and achievement — all within a supportive and caring environment fostered by Masonic volunteers.
The brethren of Warrington Conclave after hearing from one of their own members Bob Williams who regularly acts as a volunteer, were moved by the charity’s ongoing efforts to bring happiness, confidence, and inclusion to individuals who often face significant barriers in their daily lives.
Their £250 contribution reflects both the Order’s commitment to the principles of care, compassion, and brotherly love, and its continuing mission to support worthy causes within the wider community.
Speaking on behalf of both the Charity & his Conclave, Worthy Brother Bob Williams expressed his pride in the donation, noting:
“The Masonic Fishing Charity embodies the true spirit of Masonic giving — quiet, effective, and heartfelt. We are delighted to play a small part through our Conclaves donation in helping them to continue their wonderful work.” |
The Order of the Secret Monitor, often described as “the Order of Friendship,” encourages bonds of loyalty and mutual support among its members — values that naturally extend beyond the lodge room into charitable acts such as this.
The brethren of Warrington Conclave No. 119 hope their contribution will help The Masonic Fishing Charity continue to deliver life-enriching experiences across the country and inspire others within the Order to lend their support to similar worthy causes.
